A good old Russian saying states: "If you want your friend to go broke — buy him a camera". What it doesn't mention is that insomnia from cataloging and processing all the photos comes right after...
I discovered the joy of photography in 2002. It helped me through the hard times and allowed me to meet some extraordinary and creative people. Presented in this section are some of my photographs arranged into series by time periods, places and characters.

2009 Stanford Pow Wow
Stanford Powwow is the largest multi-cultural event on campus, attracting roughly 30,000 visitors for the 3-day event held on Mother's Day Weekend, May 8-10, 2009. The Powwow features contest dancing as well as traditional performances. The Stanford Powwow is a tradition that enriches and strengthens the greater Stanford community, in addition to enhancing public relations efforts and recruiting Native American students to Stanford.
