Restored photograph of Helen's family @ dragonia.info

I received this old and badly damaged photograph from my friend Helen. She was looking for some advice on whether it would be possible to restore the photograph, at least to some extent. I was curious to see what I could do, because I have never tried to do restoration of such complexity. The elestronic result is here... and the paper photograph is in Helen's mailbox ;) I am dying to see what she would say when she receives it!
